Playing catch-up!

School is going well, I have a week left, so far A's in both classes. Next classes start in August.  I really like school. And I'm realizing I'm smarter than I was in High School.

Here are some photos of what we have been up to.  First, the girls were being cute one day, so I took some photos of them...

And of Father's Day, we had a BBQ at our house with Kody's Family.

My parents own some land in the mountains. My dad has been spending a lot of time there digging roads, and camp spots. Someday we'll have a cabin, but for now we love spending time together up there!

And one more, we have these huge poppies in our yard, and Katlin picked one, she wanted me to take a pic. of her, and she found this rock to pose on, she didn't care that the pine bush was poking her in the head.  Too Cute!!

I've been...busy!

I know, I know, I've been M.I.A.  I sarted school May 12th. Lets just say, summer is hard.  I had to read 4 novels, write 4 (7 page) papers, take 10 quizes, and an exam all in 4 weeks.  And that was just for 1 class.  I still have 3 weeks left in the other class. Crazy!! I definately jumped in with both feet.  Also I had an accident in the parking lot yesterday. (not my fault) and my bumper completely fell off. (cheap new cars)  We went to Disneyland, and when I get a minute I'll post some pics.

Also thanks for all the advice.  Things are still tough, but getting better. Time-outs work really well.

Anyway, I've been tagged by Candi, so here it goes...

3 joys

My kids, they are so funny, and they are coming up with new things everyday., my family, I love spending time with them, and I love when my husband wants me to go with him on one of his business trips, and sense of accomplishment. Going back to school has made me truly happy. I'm finally soing something for myself.

3 fears

I am terrified of the Dark! I worry everyday about something happening to my family, and that I might make someone mad at me.

3 goals

Losing weight, being more positive, being more productive.

3 current obsessions/collections

school, sewing crazy clothes out of old clothes, and my kids.

3 random facts abt. myself

I'm a hopeless romantic,  I love spongebob, and anything on the disney channel, I like to watch documentaries.

Now I have to tag 5 people. So I tag...Jamie, Debbie, Ashley, Lettie, and Tammy

Advice Needed!!!

Ok, I am having trouble with my girls!!! I thought Conner would by my trial. He was a very demanding baby and toddler, but he has been a breeze since he was 4 years old.  He's  very energetic, but easy to calm.  Now Naomi and Katlin are a different story.  They are two years apart, and they fight all the time. Mostly cause of naomi, she loves to tease Katlin by interrupting her talking, calling her names, and taking away toys she is playing with. She wont listen to me, and she has to go to time-out 5-8 times a day. I give her A LOT of attention, but its not enough. Anyone who has had or has a 3-5 year old girl, please tell me this is a phase, and she'll get over it soon.... I'm at the end of my patience!!!!

And Katlin, I have to be in her sight at all times, and she loves to play with my hair so I have to be near, on her command.  I have no time for myself. Every time I walk out the door it's a crying-screaming fest, and when I take a shower or clean a room. She is very demanding.  I am stretched thin.

Conner never cared where I was, and he went to sitters well, and he now hardly gets any of my attention, but I think he likes it that way. Although he does ask me from time to time to play nintendo with him, I usually do until the girls realize I'm not with them and they come to find me, and maul me until I stop.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not as passive as this sounds, I do dicipline, and I don't do everything they say. I just don't know id I'm diciplining correctly for each child. If your child has the same personality as one of mine, and you've found something that works, please let me know!!!

The Easter Bunny and The Toothfairy

Happy_easter I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  We had fun, starting Saturday we had an Easter Egg hunt at my moms house. Then on Easter it was Kody's birthday, so we had a party at our house. Earlier in the day we went to church and colored eggs with Great Grandma Bird, my sister Sarah, and my mom and dad.

Easteregghunt2008_2 Oh and Conner now has a slight lisp! He had his front tooth hanging on by a strand, and he wouldn't pull it out. So one day he was catching Naomi as she jumped off the couch, and BONK! It was out!!! Thank Goodness, He wouldn't eat anything, and I had to cut up all his food into small pieces. The Toothfairy came and gave him $3.00. Front teeth must be valuable!!!

Kids say the funniest things...

Naomi:  "Do you know why I try not to like Grandpa?"

Me : "Why?"

Naomi : "Because he burps all the time, big burps and they are GROSS!"

and Katlin last night as I was putting water in her sippy cup : "Water is stupid and it makes me stupid!"

And Katlin again today when she wanted me to find her toy cell phone: "Will you get me my cell phone, because you are a good mom and you have long hair like me."

KIDS!

Oh yes, and one more thing, my birthday was March 30th, I am now 28, and I love it, I love getting older, I am so excited to get grey hair!! I know I'm wierd.  I'm borderline hippie, I like things natural, but I shower and eat meat! I had a very relaxing day, I slept in, went to my moms to have dinner she made for me, and went home and watched a movie, and Kody did everything for the kids so I didn't have to work.  The best day ever!!!

Snow white...

I know, I know, Naomi twice in a row. Well, I haven't had much time to scrapbook lately, but this is one I did recently, and I just loved these photo's of Naomi. Just thought I'd share it. Please disreguard my piecing. I don't have a good stitching program, and there hasn't been good light in my house to take a photo, so I scanned it in, and lined it up the best I could.Snowwhite2007

The 80's are back!

It's pretty sad when a 4 year old can get ready all by herself and look like Cyndi Lauper from the 80's. Naomi loves to wear jewelry, the more the better, this morning she got herself ready, put her dress on, (which is way to small for her), and fixed her hair, and found as much jewelry she could! She was so happy with her look. For Naomi More is definately better!The80sareback

Also, it is official, I am now a registered student for ISU, I start May 12th. I am so nervous! but I'm starting out with only 2 classes. Here we go...Idsumasthead

Hope For Lungs Benefits Concert

Hopeforlungs_2  I know this flyer is hard to see, but it basically described what I have been doing this week.  Starting Today! Yes, Today, I'm a procastinator.  It is the first day to go to the Hope for Lungs benefits Concert At the Blackfoot performing arts center. (next to the Blackfoot High School). It's for my friend Jamie, to help pay for her new lungs.  She's doing great by the way! Just visit the Jamiebug link at the left.  Today is the dance portion of the concert, The play Jamie wrote will be performed tomorrow by the kids she teaches, and I will be singing a song my mom wrote on Friday as well as making sure the kids are where they are supposed to be, Nikkii and I have taken over the theatre school while Jamie is away, its been a lot of fun!  Then on Saturday, I sing again, but a different song.  Tell all those you know to come, it's going to be fun, come each day if you'd like, there are different performances each day, and the entrance fee is whatever you would like to donate.

Hope for Lungs Benefits Concert...February 21-23 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Blackfoot performing arts center.

Also, if you know of anyone who would like to put their kids into a show choir, there will be a class at the CBTA (in blackfoot) starting this fall, taught by me.  It's going to be a blast! Get your kids involved.

"Don't ever take one single breath for grantide, and when you get the choice to sit it out or dance...I hope you dance..." (Song lyrics "I hope you Dance" by Lee Ann Womack)

January-February

Yes, I know, I pretty much missed a month.  I have been so busy lately...I have decided to go back to school, so I have been meeting with college advisors so see where the best place for me is.  If I had it my way I would go into music or something, but lets face it, musicians don't make money, unless they are famous or something, so I have decided that being a RN (reg. nurse) would benefit my family the most.  I'm starting in the summer.  Plus I've been working a lot.

Can you believe this snow? Conner didn't have school today, so he is excited. The layout I'm posting is on January 1st, it has snowed quite a bit since then.Snow_day

So I have been re-decorating my living room, nothing drastic, just moving furntiure, and decorating.  It is the only room in my house with no color on the walls, I didn't really want to paint, (It's too messy, and with a 2 year old, it makes painting hard!) But I got an idea from my aunt, with the fake flowers, it turned out cute...Flowerframe I had this one wall, I didn't know what to do with, this is what I came up with...Livingroom

Well, I hope you all have a happy day! And don't freeze in this cold weather!!

Our Christmas...

Connerchristmas2007_4 We had a Very Merry Christmas.  The kids slept in until 9:00 a.m. Then we slowly opened presents.  It was kind of Funny...They looked at the presents for a while, then we had to finally say "Open them!"  Then they dove in.

Katlinchristmas2007 Katlin, every time Naomi opened a present she said "That's MINE!" Then it was a big battle.

Naomi_christmas2007_2 When Naomi would open a gift she was so extatic, She'd say "Holy, Freakin' Moly!" and Conner was kissing his gifts! Then yesterday I went to the store and took the girls, katlin wanted everything, and she was throwing a huge fit because I wouldn't let get everything she wanted. She screamed at me and said "I don't Yike you!, You are a mean Yady!"  It was very embarrasing.  I hope nobody turns me in for child abuse or abduction!  It was a very fun holiday, and we are loving the snow!!! Kody has been plowing like crazy, and we went sledding yesterday.  Well that's about all.

Have a Happy New year!!!
